Tribute to my MOM

I love my Mom!
She is the best example in the world to me. She is a perfect example
of Christ like LOVE and is always serving others.
My mom is kind, loving, generous, sweet....my list could go on forever.
She has ALWAYS been there for me, no matter what the circumstances are.

Getting Bigger Every Day

After I gave Katie a bath tonight, I put her in her crib so I could get Tyler's water started for his bath. When I came back in this is what I found.

Katie was up on her knees hanging on the top of the rail in her crib.
We have always had the side down because she wouldn't even sit up in her crib,
but now, well, it will be up from now on. She is becoming very
daring and it is so exciting to see her explore and grow.
We have been truly blessed by her progress.

Katie is on the move

Take a look at this....
Our little girl is finally starting to crawl!
She has been on her hands and knees for about a month 1/2
but never would move until yesterday. She tried but didn't get very far but
TODAY, she is realizing she can get farther crawling than rolling around.
This morning while she was in her crib, she tried to pull herself up.
This is a very exciting day for us. A day we have been waiting for.

Just a short video of her achievement!
GO KATIE!

Cheyenne Mountain ZOO

Today we went to the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo in Colorado Springs.
We had a great time! The weather was beautiful, (minus the wind).
We invited Tyler's new friend Payton to come with us.
We got to see everything!
Giraffes, elephants, tigers, wallaby's, bears, birds, monkeys,
zebras just to name a few.
I think the highlight for Tyler was feeding the GIRAFFES.
They have the longest tongues I have ever seen. If they come
close enough you can pet them too. That is always fun.
Payton didn't want to feed the giraffe. I don't blame him. It feels kind
of gross if you ask me. Payton was the navigator. He wanted to
make sure we saw everything and I think we did.
We can't wait to go back again.

Hello Mr Giraffe (very friendly)

Tyler loves feeding the giraffe's (look at the baby giraffe)

Excited little boy!

He just can't get enough

Tyler is a daring little boy and wants to pet everything.
He really liked the wallaby

The bears...

Katie loves to go for walks

Payton with the ants

Tyler on the ants

There is a carousel at the zoo.
I think Payton really liked the ride

Two happy little boys

Let's go zebra

It isn't a big zoo but there is plenty to see and you don't have
to spend the entire day there.

Success

We are having success with our garden.
We aren't able to plant outside yet but they seem to be growing
great indoors. We are getting ready to grow squash, tomatoes, zucchini and
who knows what else.
We are really excited to have even just a small garden.

We have flowers, pumpkins and beans :D

Fixes for the ECONOMY

My good friend Annabeth had this on her FB page. I think it is an amazing idea, if only OBAMA would use it.

From St Petersburg Times in Florida, a question was asked to the readers:
How would you fix the economy?

Put America First
The Patriotic Retirement

There are about 40 million people over 50 in the work force ... pay them $1 million apiece severance with stipulation.
1. The must retire from their jobs. 40 million job openings. Unemployment FIXED!
2. They must buy new American cars. 40 million cars ordered. Auto industry FIXED!
3. They either buy a house or pay off their mortgage. Housing crisis FIXED!
David Otterson, Largo

I think it would solve a lot of problems instead of handing President Obama a trillion dollars.
What do you think?
