Katie's 2nd Birthday

I am playing catch-up

Our little Princess is 2! I cannot believe it.
She is such a joy to be around and has the spunkiest attitude ever.

(Spunky really means she has an attitude!)

I am so thankful for Katie. She has a fighting spirit about her which has helped to get her where she is. Without that fighting spirit she wouldn't be with us today. She is our miracle baby.
Katie has accomplished a lot over the past year. She has learned to walk, putting more words together to create sentences, she can definitely undress herself. She loves giving kisses and hugs and smiles all the time.
We love you Katie!

YES! I am 2!

We made a quick trip to Arizona in April for the Gila Valley Temple open house. It was a crazy trip but so worth the long drive. We celebrated Katie's 2nd birthday with her cousin Jason whose birthday was May 1st. She really didn't know what to think about what was going on. We made 2 cakes, simple round ones. Chocolate and white! For her birthday she got a pots and pan set, clothes, and my little ponies.

Also while in Arizona, Brad played in a racquetball tournament. He did fairly well considering he hasn't picked up a racket in over a year. He played with Reed his brother and Cord my brother. Brad made it to the semi-finals before losing. Next year I think he will win the entire tournament.

Brad took these next 2 pictures at my parents house. He set the camera on the tripod with a long exposure. These pictures were taken about 10 o'clock at night. I haven't edited them. I think it is pretty cool.

The bright lights are from Safford. Safford is about 15 miles from my parents house. It seems as though they just over the hill.

This is the reason for our trip.
The Gila Valley Temple.
Because it was the open house, they had a canopy set up in front of the door otherwise this would have been a fantastic picture. Next time we are in AZ we will get a better picture.
Tyler loved going to the open house and being able to walk through the temple and see what it was like before it was dedicated. I can't wait to go back.
The Temple was dedicated on May 23rd by President Thomas S Monson.
